"Celebrando las Artes y Creando Comunidad!"

The Whitewater Arts Alliance, in collaboration with Friends of the Effigy Mounds, invites the community to celebrate Native American Heritage Month with a special pop-up event on Saturday, November 9, from 1pm - 4pm. Join us at the Cultural Arts Center, located at 402 W Main St, Whitewater, WI, for an afternoon of cultural appreciation and activities.

This vibrant celebration will feature performances by the Iron Bear Singers Drum Circle and dancers from the Trickster Cultural Center. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy storytelling with renowned storyteller Andi Cloud. The afternoon schedule of events beginning at 1pm will be storytelling, first; followed by the drum circle.

In addition to these performances, the final event of the afternoon will be “Beading 101.” This workshop invites participants to explore Native American art techniques and create their own pieces. A variety of other activities will also be available, making this a fantastic event for all ages.

We invite everyone to come and honor the rich heritage and contributions of Native American culture in our community.
