Whitewater Arts Alliance Members’ show 2024
November 1 - December 20, 2024
(closed November 28 - December 1 for Thanksgiving)
Reception: Sunday, November 3, 12pm to 3pm
The Whitewater Arts Alliance (WAA) is thrilled to announce its 2024 Members' Show, an annual tradition that highlights the talents of the WAA members. WAA invites all current members to take part in this special exhibition, which offers a chance for artists to display their artwork, connect with other artists, and celebrate the creative spirit that makes Whitewater unique.
Every November and December, the Cultural Arts Center is filled with art from its members of all ages and skill levels. This exhibition highlights the creativity within our community and showcases a wide variety of styles and mediums. It’s a wonderful way to see what’s inspiring our local artists as they share their work.
Join us for the opening reception on Sunday, November 3, from 12 pm-3 pm at the Whitewater Arts Alliance's Cultural Arts Center, 402 W Main St, Whitewater. This special event will feature the artists behind the artwork. Learn more about their inspirations, and enjoy light refreshments in a vibrant gallery setting.
The exhibition will include two exciting opportunities for visitors. They will have the chance to vote for their favorite piece, and the artist with the most votes will be announced on Saturday, December 21. Visitors can also sign up to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a FREE 2024 WAA membership! The winner will be drawn at the end of the exhibition.
In conjunction with this year’s Members’ Show, WAA and the Whitewater Senior High Class of 1961 are sponsoring the “Paint Wisconsin” - Marilyn Fuerstenberg Legacy Campaign. Anyone who contributes to the Paint Wisconsin - Marilyn Fuerstenberg Legacy Campaign between November 3 and December 20, during the Annual Members Show, will be entered into a drawing for one of two Marilyn Fuerstenberg’s original watercolor paintings.
Additionally, attendees of the Annual Members Show who purchase a raffle ticket, will have a chance to win one of three original paintings by Tom Jewell, a recognized regional artist, Class of 1961 alum, and close friend of Marilyn. There will be separate winners for each drawing.
One of the many perks of being a WAA member is that members may submit up to three pieces of their original artwork with no entry fees. Additionally, there are no commission fees. Artists will keep 100% of the proceeds from any artwork sold during the show.
Whether you’re a participating artist or an enthusiastic supporter, we welcome you to join us in making the 2024 Members’ Show a memorable event for all. Let’s celebrate the arts together! If you would like to become a member, visit our website page (https://www.whitewaterarts.org/membership) and fill out a membership form.
Donations are essential for this campaign’s success, and contributions of all sizes are welcomed. Donations can be made via check or online through the Whitewater Arts Alliance website.
With the community's support, the Whitewater Arts Alliance can bring Marilyn Fuerstenberg’s vision to life, celebrating the arts and creating a lasting legacy in our community.
