Jason Miklik

Jason has a B.F.A. and M.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute Chicago. He has recently retired after teaching portrait and figurative art for 15 years at various Chicago suburban art league locations; and 11 years as instructor of drawing and painting at the Chicago Botanic Gardens art department. While portrait arts are his major life long pursuit and study, Jason currently explores artistic adventures in clay, assemblage and cartooning.

Locally, Jason has had the opportunity of teaching drawing at the Starin Senior Center and looks forward to classes in portrait sketching. Also, locally, Jason has had a 15 Portrait Drawing Show at the Fort Atkinson library. This current show at WAA represents portraits of Chicagoland artist models. Jason is also looking forward to a show of his most recent works of abstract portraits.
